'Prince' from Hyderabad claims Taj- The Times of India-: "Prince' from Hyderabad claims Taj"

We the people of India....

Well I thought India exists only since 1947. So from then on, all the property is a joint belonging to the whole nation. How can an individual or a religious body stake claims to something like Taj.

I am wondering what has happened to the spirit of a true Indian to stand up for the right. Where is the rest of the billion plus population when someone is going to take away what is yours from within?

I don't fear the enemy at the border, that we can tackle. The enemy within is slowly taking away your land. Think my fellow Indian think.
BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Paris store apologizes to Oprah: "Paris store apologises to Oprah"

Sheer arrogance. Oprah may be the most powerful celebrity in the world but I am disappointed at the amount of coverage and attention given to a trivial incident that takes place almost in everyday life to everyone.

I wonder if BBC has really lowered the standards to reporting such stupid events. Is this event of any value in regards humanitarian cause, global peace or world harmony? Will this event remotely relates to people starving in Africa?

Please don't waste time and bandwidth of internet on such totally unimportant issue.

Islamic schools redefine English language- The Times of India: "Islamic schools redefine English language"

And now we are going sow the seeds of distinct identity into minds of innocent children just because the grown ups could not face the reality. People, please understand one thing, doing anything as a reactive move will not resolve the issue. One has to look at more creative and pro active methods.

Let me quote from something that we have so conveniently forgotten of Mahatma Gandhi. I have seen people talk of Bapu in regards to Khadi etc. Does anyone remember that he also strongly suggested that we should have Hindustani as our National language? Hindustani, a beautiful blend of Hindi and Urdu. Foundation of cross language, cross culture relationship and developing understanding and tolerance for mutual beliefs.

Sorry we have forgotten that because Nehru declared Hindi has National language completely disregarding he sentiments of non Hindi speaking Indians.

I am not surprised that such religion based English schools are propping up as a result of reaction from the so called masses. Tell me one thing if any one cane, when every one is claim that they are suffering, then who the hell is enjoying? All are victims then who is the victor?

I do not subscribe to such schools but hey, all the best my friends, at least for once these schools will be teaching eastern values and not western values. Well actually in west there are hardly any values left. In true spirit of being Indian, I sincerely congradulate such schools, how so ever I may disagree to their extremist stand.

Any one?

BBC NEWS | Europe | Migration is 'good for everybody': "Migration is 'good for everybody'"

Migration news. Makes sense. But there is more to it then the study provides. This news talks only through academic study of the cases. But what is required a complete and holistic approach towards understanding the needs and effects of migration across the globe.

One of those cute things that we have read zillion times and yet completely forgotten.

Don't find love, Let love find you.
That's why it's called falling in love because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

Once you accept someone for who and what they really are. They will surprise you by being better than you expected.

Love is loving /accepting a person with all his/her strength and weaknesses.

Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of man.

When two friends fall in love learn they are meant for each other.

When they fall out of love they realize they want to keep each other forever.

Find time to realize that there is one person who mean so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you .

Love is seeing yourself through someone's eyes and finding yourself in somebody's heart.

Once you have loved, you will always love . For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will remain forever.

True LOVE doesn't have a happy ending ,that's because true love doesn't have an ending.

A ball is circle, no end. It keeps us together like your circle of friends.

But the treasure inside, for you to see, is the treasure of friendship you have given to me

Letting go has never been easy and holding on can be as difficult. Yet Strengths measured not by holding on by letting go.

Men vs. Women : Men would rather sacrifice love to conquer the world. Women would rather give up the world just to be with someone worth the sacrifice.

Decision should not be the choice of your heart or mind but a sensible balancing of both.

Some thoughts are better left unsaid, some feelings are better left kept to yourself but love has it's way of expressing itself despite the silence.

The happier the memory, the deeper

There are so many stars in the sky only some are radiant enough to be noticed. Among those you choose to ignore is the one which was willing to shine for you forever even if your glance remained elsewhere.

It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy with someone- else? but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.
Television out of bounds for Muslim women- The Times of India: "Television out of bounds for Muslim women"

Ouch ! Thats all I can say about this.

Reasons

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength, will power or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck.

Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test limits of your soul.

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create whom you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from.

In fact they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count. Appreciate everything that you possibly can, for you may never experience it again.

Talk to people whom you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.

Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create you own life and then go out and live it.

Share this with anyone whom you believe has made a difference in your life!

BBC NEWS | South Asia | 'Pakistan trained us,' rebel says: "Pakistan trained us,' rebel says"

Hmmm now what?

Honestly I am sick and tired of past. Lets not ponder over it and make a brand new beginning. Shall we?
Vaginal Independence - Booty Call or the Real Thing?- X Files - People - Indiatimes: "Vaginal Independence - Booty Call or the Real Thing"

Interesting write by Piyali Dasgupta. I must say she has very well versed this otherwise sensitive "do not go there" "don't talk about it" subject of man/woman relationship. It is also interesting know that the new generation in India is ready and aware about it. I sincerely hope it does not turn out into a complete collapse of society, as it happened in west.
Navy gets its 1st lady vice-admiral- The Times of India: "Navy gets its 1st lady vice-admiral"

Now this happens only in India. Shame on the western media that keeps projecting India as land of women bashing society. They are unable to accept the fact that India had a prime minister who was a woman and India society has far more respect for women and treat them well. For once, if the western world would open up their eye to see good thing in India, maybe they will learn something to make their own life a bit better.
'B'lore is a coastal city, Amritsar is in Pak'- The Times of India: "B'lore is a coastal city, Amritsar is in Pak"

This kind of errors are just not acceptable. We are talking about quality education to young people of India and it seems like illiterate people are in charge of printing school text books for future generation. I can tolerate issues of misreporting facts but completely missing the geography in maps? Is there ANY possibility of any VALID reason why this happened at such mass scale? Aren't we becoming more careless about education?
BBC NEWS | Health | Friends 'help people live longer': "Friends 'help people live longer"

Solving the Jinnah jigsaw- The Times of India: "Solving the Jinnah jigsaw"

Now read through carefully, plot the events on time line and see. I am not in support of L K Advani as such but the whole matter is bringing to light the unsaid story of Indian independence and or about creation of Pakistan.

If someone as more interesting material/information about the matter in question, please do share.

Sanskrit chants at MIT graduation- The Times of India: "Sanskrit chants at MIT graduation"

And in India, what do we do? Neglect Sanskrit. I think if I start promoting Sanskrit as "In" thing of west, Indians will start imitating that. What do you think?

Operation Blue Star: Fighting for Golden Temple- The Times of India: "Operation Blue Star: Fighting for Golden Temple"

It is such a shame that the most tolerant Army in the world had to enter a religious place to flush out terrorist. I think it means to say that even God won't protect you if you have done something Wrong.

Someone to comment?

Jinnah secular: Advani; upsets Parivar- The Times of India: "KARACHI:
In what is expected to have severe political repercussions within his own
saffron clan, BJP chief L K Advani on Saturday turned the Hindutva
historiography on its head, attributing secular credentials to Mohammad Ali
Jinnah, while paying 'respectful homage' to the man who has been bashed by the
Sangh Parivar for the last 55 years for propagating the two-nation theory and
creating Pakistan."

.... Hmmm now next statement could be Hitler was an Avtar. I think Advani has lost it all. Sheer desperation of becoming PM of India, he has burnt all his brain cells. God bless him.
